Antiphon for Chapter 7 (‘When Psalms talk back’), taken from 150 Psalms.

Cantate Domino canticum novum;
laus ejus in ecclesia sanctorum.
Laetetur Israël in eo qui fecit eum,
et filii Sion exsultent in rege suo.
Laudent nomen ejus in choro;
in tympano et psalterio psallant ei.
Quia beneplacitum est Domino in populo suo,
et exaltabit mansuetos in salutem.

Sing to the Lord a new song,
    his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.
Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
    let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
Let them praise his name with dancing
    and make music to him with timbrel and harp.
For the Lord takes delight in his people;
    he crowns the humble with victory.

Zing voor de HEER een nieuw lied,
roem hem te midden van zijn getrouwen.
Laat Israël verheugd zijn over zijn machtige maker
het volk van Sion juichen om zijn koning.
Laten zij dansend zijn naam loven,
bij lier en tamboerijn voor hem zingen.
Ja, de HEER vindt vreugde in zijn volk,
Hij kroont de vernederden met de zege.
