Simile est [enim] regnum caelorum homini patri familias, qui exiit primo mane conducere operarios in vineam suam. Et egressus circa horam tertiam vidit alios stantes in foro otiosos, Et illis dixit: Ite et vos in vineam meam; et, quod iustum fuerit, dabo vobis.

Want het koninkrijk der hemelen lijkt op een mens,- een huiseigenaar, die in de vroegte gelijk naar buiten komt om werkers te huren voor zijn wijngaard. Als hij omstreeks het derde uur naar buiten komt ziet hij anderen, zonder werk, staan op de markt. Tot hén zegt hij: gaat ook gíj de wijngaard in, en wat rechtvaardig is zal ik u geven!

Es ist das Heil uns kommen her Aus Gnad und lauter Güte. Die Werk, die helfen nimmermehr, Sie mögen nicht behüten. Der Glaub sieht Jesum Christum an, Der hat g’nug für uns all getan, Er ist der Mittler worden.

Het heil des hemels werd ons deel alleen door Gods genade. Wij werkten en wij wonnen veel, maar alle winst bleek schade. ’t Geloof ziet Jezus Christus aan: wat Hij deed is genoeg gedaan voor al wie leeft op aarde.

Salvation has come to us from grace and sheer kindness Works never help, they cannot protect us. Faith looks towards Jesus Christ who has done enough for all of us. He has become our mediator

Maria wallt zum Heiligtum und bringt ihr Kindlein dar, das schaut der greise Simeon, wie ihm verheißen war. Da nimmt er Jesum in den Arm und singt im Geiste froh:	Maria gaat naar de tempel en brengt haar kindje daar naartoe, dan ziet de grijze Simeon, zoals het hem beloofd was. Dan neemt hij Jezus op zijn arm en zingt blij tot in zijn ziel:	Mary made a pilgrimage to the temple and brought her child there, who was seen by the aged Simeon, as the prophets had foretold. Simeon took Jesus in his arms, and joyfully sang:
